It is frustrating to all, but if the tracks are blocked I don't think Amtrak has a lot of options. Do you think they should do something else in this case?
NEC timetables have been updated (with mileage) - RPA seems to be having an issue getting them posted but here is the latest. NEC is subject to frequent changes and tweaks.
Old thread but new update...most of the timetables now have mileage on them. That has been a very frequent request. You can get them from RPA's timetable site as well as my Amtrak timetable archive.
Note, the NEC timetables change continuously, so as soon as you create a timetable it's...
I saw a friend of mine at Amtrak, he would know details on this stuff. He said 1 tunnel into NYP will be taken out of service late this year for major rehabilitation work. So they have to reduce trains going through the tunnels whereever they can, thus the Star terminating in WAS. I'm...
I live in Atlanta but have not heard of anything in local media reports....if I come across something I will certainly post it here. It would be amazing if rail service were expanded here.

Hi all, sorry for the outage. I had trouble with the ASMAD site last night so I had to take it down temporarily. I expect it will be back later today or at the latest tomorrow. Thanks for your support!

At the suggestion of another AU-er, I opened a formal complaint with the feds and FNBO was required to respond to me. Low and behold, they reviewed our documentation (again) and then reversed their decision and reopened our closed account!
I am thankful for the suggestion to make a formal...
And here's the direct link (note it shows departure info, not arrival at AUS but you get the general idea).

It's more than 15 minutes, #307 was carded for 5' 30" in 2013, it's now 4' 59" so a good improvement. Expensive? Yep...but now Amtrak and UP have a good set of smooth tracks!
