Hi Folks,
I've travelled a few times on Amtrak NE corridor. I'm hoping for a chance to travel this winter on the Crescent from Slidell LA to DC, Balt or Phil and back. I'm hoping to learn about parking at the south end (NOL or Slidell) and car rental availability at the north end, (currently thinking the BWI Airport stop might be a good idea). I'm also wondering what to expect in a roomette. Traveling with my wife who took a roomette from Baltimore to Florida. So, I'll be posting questions on here about that after I have checked to see if these topics have already been addressed in Forums.

Welcome to AU, those aren't questions/situations I'm familiar with, but I'm sure there are folks here who will be glad to help you. Are you familiar with the bid-up process? It's a chance to upgrade from roomette to full bedroom at much lower cost than just booking it that way in the first place.
