I booked my travel a few months ago and today I checked my ticket again and it changed from roomette number five to roomette number eight on the California Zephyr car 531. does anyone know why they would change my room?

I am somewhat of a photographer (hobbyist) and I want to take photos out the window on my upcoming trip on the California Zephyr in June. How are you all finding the window clarity? I have read some complaints about windows being dirty. Are your window shots turning out ok?

Sounds so scary. I hope everyone is OK … actually, I saw a TikTok today of just this thing today …. a small tornado barreling into a train hauling some cargo I think. It took a few of the windows and turned over one car but the train fared fairly very well actually.

In June I will be taking the lakeshore limited 49 NYP- CHI in coach. Which side of the train has the best views westbound?

I’ll be taking the Zephyr in early June too 😊. But I’ll be roughing it in coach. Sure wish they had showers for us….I would pay extra for that- It’s a long trip!

Hello everyone! I signed up for a rail pass and I’m planning a cross country trip. I have taken the Zephyr from Colorado to Emeryville and also the coastal train in California before, but this will be the longest trip for me so I have tons of questions since this will be my first multi day coach...
