There is a fairly substantial project going on on the Springfield line at the moment which is curtailing some of the daytime service. It is very possible there may be some shutdown days in the mix to complete more disruptive portions of the work.

Coming north from WAS, is the Vermonter business class in the rear? Or front? Or does it vary? Thanks.

The split cafe/BC car is always at the rear in both directions.

Yes, it and the associated track work has been going on for quite some time. There are a good number of bustitutions at the moment. Most of the work seems to happen during daytime weekday hours. Hopefully Spring 2025.

Quick question for those familiar with the BC car. I was assigned seat 6A, single seat in the last row, NB train. Does this seat have a full window?

It has a window, i believe its full, ive sat there many times and if it was somehow obstructed view/small window id have noticed. its my favorite seat on the train. Ride the Vermonter (within, to/from Vermont) often.

Does anyone know when seat 2a, which is reserved for disabilities, becomes available? I fully understand the need to reserve this, but up to a point. Does Amtrak ever release this seat for sale?
