A Congressman from New Jersey is proposing a Passenger Bill of Rights in the wake of recent lengthly delays that have been
affecting Amtrak, and NJ Transit passengers in and out of New York City. Who knows how far this will go, but it makes for some interesting conversations. When I put 2024 on it, that is a reference to the fact that in the last years leading up to Amtrak's start up, the ICC did impose minimum standards for the nations remaining passenger trains.
