My name is Dawn and I am new to train travel! I have an extensive travel background via truck camper in the Pacific Northwest but a recent trip to Europe where I experienced the ease of train travel sparked my interest in the USA rail system. Just two months later I booked my first trip. I wish I had found this group before I booked, but I was a bit impulsive to get that first trip on the calendar. However, I think I made a great choice - California Zephyr eastbound from Chicago to the West Coast in a Roomette sleeper. I can't wait to learn from all you knowledgeable people!
