FNBO does not allow one to two two of similarly branded cards at one time.
Hmm. When the cards switched from BOA to FNBO, we got both the standard card and the premium card. My wife is the primary cardholder on the latter, but we are both on each other's card. Perhaps that's the difference, or perhaps because it wasn't two premium card accounts.
 
Based in the advice above, I canceled my Amtrak card. First I went to the three credit bureaus and temporarily unfroze my accounts at each. (I had requested they be frozen after the large data breach earlier this year that exposed upwards of 70% of our social security numbers to the dark web.) I then waited two days and applied for the FNBO card. My application was denied. Since my credit scores are excellent with Experian, Trans Union and Equifax, I tried again the next day and was again denied. I called FNBO to inquire what happened, but they could only tell me to wait until I received their letter of denial.That letter told me nothing more than the instant email denial did: that some of my personal data did not match. Come to find out I had placed a fraud alert in addition to the freeze at Experian, and that triggered fraud alerts at the other two. I removed the fraud alert, applied for a Hilton credit card and was instantly approved, right down to receiving the account number, expiry and CVV, allowing its use even before receiving the plastic in the mail. So it must have been the the fraud alert that led to my denial at FNBO. I called FNBO and had my old card reinstated. I'll wait until the next big FNBO welcome offer rolls around before trying again. Meanwhile I'll be earning several free nights at Hilton properties.

I have an active fraud alert. That did not stop me from getting approved for the no-fee card from FNBO, after thawing my credit for a day, a couple of months after closing annual the fee card. I did get the approval by email, IIRC a day or 2 after applying, rather than instantly.
 
I figured out what one of the World Card benefits is. My wife had deleted the Lyft app from her phone after a bad experience but then heard from coworkers that in the town she works in Lyft has more drivers than Uber. She put the app back on and started using it, then she gota$5 credit. Yesterday I got an email from FNBO that said if you book 3 Lyft trips in a month you geta$5 credit. This is great because Lyft and Uber both count as transit, so we get 2 points per dollar spent.

I also have my Hilton Honors account linked to Lyft so I get HH points from any Lyft rides I take. I use my HH points to make purchases on Amazon!
 
One recommendation from earlier this year: even though the online banking system says that you don't need to file travel alerts, you still might want to. I had several pre-trip foreign charges declined, then the card was locked due to a fraud alert. I had to go to a bank branch (!) and have the branch manager conference-call with FNBO.

Just ran a spreadsheet and yes, it's since opening and doesn't reset with the calendar (=tier qualifying) year.
 
Has anyone been hit with fraudulent charges on their card and called FNBO to fight them? Recently I did they took the charges off my old card closed the original card I had in turn sending me a new AGR card with new numbers to transfer the fraudulent charge to the new card.
That happened to me a bit over a year ago, when I fell for a Facebook scam purporting to be a favorite crochet hook company running a giveaway, and instead signing people up for autoship subscriptions for a weight-loss supplement. I checked my account on the FNBO website the next day and confirmed that the scammer was not what it had purported itself to be, then called FNBO customer service. They cancelled the old FNBO card and sent me a new card. The scammer charge was not transferred to the new card, thankfully; I think FNBO just cancelled that transaction.

I should call them back up and see what the issue is or get the charge removed.

So, the weight-loss supplement doesn't work? Bummer. :(
 
I got an email a few days ago asking me to take a survey about the card. It was to find out what kind of card I would be interested in if I had to pay a fee. The basic choices were something like home improvement points, auto points, and other travel points. I really wasn't interested in any of them, and when I had a chance to comment, I said that I don't own a house or a car. But the questions kept coming and I spent too much time on it until it asked how many miles I drive in some period. My answer was zero. Unacceptable answer! I could not continue unless I entered some false number, so I just closed the darn thing.

Poorly constructed survey. A good one would have quickly thanked you for participating, and closed you out from further questions.
 
Noticed several times when receiving a credit limit increase from FNBO (including a couple of weeks ago) that I hear about it from my credit/identity monitoring services a week or so before receiving a notification from FNBO (US Mail)!
That’s how the credit bureaus sell their services to individuals…by keeping on top of anything that affects your credit rating, and being the first to inform you.

That service is now available free from many credit card issuers. I received about a half dozen notifications from various issuers that there was a new account reported.

That’s a good thing. I believe regulation’s also require the credit bureaus to give you one complete report, annually on request.
The credit bureau will try on any visit to their site to sell you additional services they may provide.

I've got a credit alerts through Experion due to involvement in a couple of recent major data breeches. Also, my bank provides that service as part of being their customer.
