The cost of a roomette is in addition to the coach tickets. The total price is the cost for 1 or 2 people in coach and a separate price for a single roomette. Roomette cost is independent of the number of passengers in it. You do lose the actual coach seats.

Is there still a thruway bus between Chico and Sacramento, CA. The bus did not appear when I chose Chico to Chicago. Where is the thruway schedule?

Thanks for your help. That is not practical since every schedule has a different format making a conversion take as long as doing it manually. I also need to keep it updated and every new schedule could be a major project.

I enjoy creating website scripts using the Amtrak schedule. The problem is that I have always done it manually. Is there a database version of the Amtrak schedule that can be extracted and used as a base for my experimentation?

That would only work if there was a table that showed the miles at every station. For example if I wake up and look out the window and see a marker indicating 1234 that would be meaningless without the miles for each station.

It would be nice if there were some type of mileage marker along train routes that could be matched up with station mileage to figure out where the train was upon waking in the morning.

Is it possible for a Superliner car to travel from Chicago to New York City? If so why is there no direct train from SF to NYC?
