Once points are credited to your AGR account, FNBO has no control over them. Losing them is strictly an AGR issue. The closing of your credit card is an FNBO issue, AGR has nothing to do with the status of the card.

Indeed, that is the holiday travel period but, keep in mind Metrolink is a commuter rail service. The period between the holidays is pretty light ridership for commuters (I've witnessed that) so, it is probably the best time FOR THEM to do this (and the heck with everyone else).
