Why do you say that? Are you saying Amtrak won't order a LD version of the Venture car to replace Amfleet II LD coach equipment? Seems like a logical solution to most of us.

I'm wondering how the "Super Star" is doing feeding 5 sleeper cars. Figuring a max of 150 passengers divided by 3 dinner seatings you are just about at capacity if the Viewliner had the as-designed 48 seats. But with the reduction to 42 seats from the loss of seating due to the poorly executed...

Using something like the Ultradome would be the maximum in efficiency. It would be like stacking two Viewliners together. You could even have walk throughs on both levels. But as mentioned it might not be easily done.

So the problem would be sneaky people jumping on and off of a moving train in the middle of the night in the middle of nowhere? Makes a lot of sense.

I don't know the numbers of passengers that are going end to end but I have heard that the new "Night Owl" is pretty successful. That's probably the closest barometer we have of such an overnight market train. It doesn't matter if this train runs non-stop or not because it's a short route but...

From what I have read, paint on an airplane is heavy and it results in more fuel use. Having unpainted fuselages like American has saves a lot of operating costs.

Amtrak just made an agreement with CP to run trains between Detroit and Windsor through the Detroit River Tunnel. So a new overnight express train could run through Canada over the Wolverine and Empire Service routes which would allow higher speeds and less congestion than running south of Lake...

But is there a market for an express overnight train between two of the country's biggest cities? With flying becoming more of a nightmare and driving just not a great option (especially in the winter up north), it seems like such a service would be a very attractive alternative especially now...

There are several videos on YouTube that show a wheelchair in the H room bathroom. You would have to transfer of course for certain uses which I would think is doable with all of the surrounding railings.
