They fixed it in San Antonio at around 0100. It was a hot room for probably 12 hours. Keeping the door open helped a bit. But I was in the lounge car a lot (nice and cool in there).

It seemed to get worse as the afternoon progressed. Started out ok, but by Lafayette, it was pretty warm.

Back home to New Orleans after an 8 night rail trip.

I’m in CUS metro lounge as we speak. Second floor is closed. Mini cans of Coke/Diet Coke and light snacks are available but you have to ask the attendant for them. Interestingly, the lounge in D.C still has the soda machine working as usual.
