Amtrak...what a unique business. Why make easy-to-read customer timetables, that have been in existence for basically forever, when you can make your riders go to 3 different websites and cut/paste/modify their own excel spreadsheets?? Ugh. I hope that someday the updated PDF timetables...

Glad you find the statistics useful. If you search for more than 60-90 days at a time the results do take longer to show up. The script has to figure out all queried arrivals/departures and match them up before comparing. Also ignore times when some trains don't run or have service disruptions.

I enjoyed reading your report. Sounds like you had a much better experience than my last two times on Acela. One train had very loud creaks from the overhead compartment and the other one had a broken tilt mechanism so our top speed was restricted. Glad you enjoyed it.

Correct. That is the problem I kept running into with mechanized searches. I also worked with Dixieland's status maps expert and we both got blocked or stumped with this effort.

Crescent diner-less? I didn't know that, either. Amtrak is just a disaster in so many ways. Why not pull off the sleepers and replace them with box cars while they're at it.
