Thanks Traveler. I figured that's how it would work. We usually go SLC > OLW >, then reverse it, so we use 50,000 points on the trip, so the SEA>CHI>SLC that will add a lot more points to the deal.

Hello everybody, Mr. Sunchaser and I have talked about for a while about going from SEA to CHI then SLC, in Bedrooms. My question is, how many AGR points would we need? A)80,000 points, because there are two 2 zone awards involved and there is an overnight stay in CHI, or B)40,000 points...

Just asking an opinion. Would ATL>SLC be a 2 zone or 3 zone award? The reason I am asking is I thought it was 2, called this am to book it, was told no, called back for another reason and the agent booked it. Once it's booked, they can't/won't cancel it, will they? I did get the confirmation...

I find this a bit odd. We have taken the Coast Starlight a number of times and not seen lots of extra or oversized bags. I have seen bags placed in unused rooms, and apparently there's a locked storage area on the outside of the sleeper. We had a Sleeping Car Attendant store bags there once...

Yeah, I know. We waited last July for Yellow Cab for over 40 minutes. Yellow Cab's a few blocks from the station. We finally flagged down another Cab, City Cab. This time I will be calling ahead before arrival, or I might have someone drop our car off at the station.

Jessica, what I have noticed is the California Zephyr tends to run late in the spring, but usually it arrives into SLC around 10:20pm. Right now, it seems to be flooding causing the issues. When is your trip? You can always call a cab-there are several cab companies here.
