I'm going to state that this is my opinion. The check in is a way for Amtrak to attempt tp eliminate the AC job. The Conductor who worked FC on this train did the right thing and justified his or her job. Keep in mind that this thread is "Acela Discussion", so feel free to post it! :)

Yes. All trains on the Corridor with the exception of 42/43 have assigned seats in BC.

Trains 65/67, 151, and 55 have the 2x1.

Thanks. I'm aware that President Biden took Amtrak as VP, but i don't think he has touched the train since taking the Oval Office. I can't think of any other Presidental moves besides President Obama's train to DC which was well publicized.

Confirming 845 as the running number. They left Boston around 2. They're doing testing in RI I believe and then following Train 179 from Kingston to NYP. That was the plan at least. They got to Readville and had some issues with one of the MCB's opening but that was rectified.

I just passed the test bed set near Trenton NJ while deadheading home on 177.
