I still saw a bunch the Business class cars together in the yard at Chicago today. I don’t think they’re running yet. From the outside they don’t look very different from the coach cars. What I’m curious about is the eventual introduction of the cab cars. I don’t know what the timeline is on those.

I noticed them outside Union Station this afternoon! A very strange sight, these Metrolink cars attached to the Midwest Ventures. Sounds like we’ll be seeing more of them, if at least 50 are being refurbished?

The Ventures are running on the Pere Marquette now! Started yesterday. Right now it’s an Amfleet Business/Cafe and two Ventures. Steps work just fine.

So earlier messages said the Wolverine 350 would be cancelled until the 16th, and resume the 17th. I was hoping to visit some family in Michigan and tried to book the 350 on the 17th. Both on the desktop website and the app, it’s still not showing up. I tried some dates later the next week, but...

Oh, I just noticed that the cancellations begin Monday, so tomorrow will be safe. Still, it’s definitely very annoying for a lot of people. The 350 is always packed. What’s strange to me is that the Amtrak app doesn’t say when the cancellations start, I had to find that out here.

Guess what train I was supposed to get on tomorrow morning… Do you think I have a shot at getting a refund? Edit: realizing now that the cancellations don’t start until Monday.

I just leave my bags at my seat to go to the lounge or cafe. What I normally do is stroll back to my seat when we reach a station stop, just to be safe and to stretch my legs. Of course, I haven’t been on the Surfliner, but I assume the stops are a little closer together than on the Southwest...

It was just the Charger. I’ve been on plenty of trains with a P42, I think if the two were coupled together all you would hear is the P42.
