If Amtrak offered "organic", Preservative, MSG, Sulfite, and Nitrite free flex meals I believe that more passengers would be happy. I don't understand why so many unhealthy caustic chemicals, w high salt and sugar content are used in those meals. Sodium Nitrite is actually a toxic substance.

On the NEC we've seen coach fares on the regional be only $5 more than those on the Acela separated by just an hour on the schedule. We've also seen $10 regional coach fares go as high as $88 depending on time of day. The way I see it there is no rhyme or reason to the existing fare structure.

While this technology is not available as yet, Toyota has developed an engine that runs on Ammonia who's atoms are constructed of two parts hydrogen and one part oxygen. No carbon exists in Ammonia so perhaps this will eventually be the solution of zero carbon emission rail and automobiles.

Exactly. It seems Amtrak does everything in its power to hinder ridership not promote it. A public company should make it easy for passengers to use the service and maximize ridership. Instead they put obstacles in the way. This is difficult to understand.

We've looked into a trip on that train. It must be asked what does the Rocky Mountaineer offer at twice the cost of the Amtrak California Zephyr? It has newer, nicer equipment but its just a day trip from Denver to Moab. Big deal!
