    Bid Up questions and experiences

I got a bid up from roomette to bedroom. It is tempting but a.) gambling against the house with a 2 day window during which there would be no conclusion seems pretty stupid and b.) the upgrade would spin up the cost of my 1-way trip from $500+ to $700+ with a side of uncertainty. No thanks...

    Amtrak - Brightline connections?

I'm thinking also of a breaking point at Melbourne to a NB / SB passenger connection to JAX. I think there was some chatter about that in Brightline concept planning. That would involve old FEC line. Again problem is with how many grade crossings would need attention or outright elimination.

Future Amtrak Equipment and ADA ideas

This jumps over a lot of the discussion about what Amtrak is willing to do--which seems boring and unimaginative. I liked the Polish fast train passenger car arrangement of a series of compartments for max 8 on one side of the car, divided by a solid windowed panel with a door to an outside...

    Amtrak - Brightline connections?

The idea is to maximize connectivity. Amtrak currently has limited service NS but passenger delivery to a more frequent continuing on service (and visa versa) seems like a reasonable objective when passenger travel can be improved. About 20 years ago I was part of a planning effort to identify...

    Amtrak - Brightline connections?

I'm curious to know whether there are plans to connect Amtrak LD trains to Brightline.

    Atlantic Coast Service discussion

Will be taking the 98 fr. DLD to FBG next weekend. Looking forward to verifying these fascinating details. I'll take my own snacks and liquid refreshments. May eat one FlexMeal. They aren't usually too bad. Some have been downright tasty. But I live in a small town with ordinary restaurants.
