This afternoon, I caught a BNSF locomotive pulling four Venture cafe cars eastward through Iowa. The cars were (is it AMTK or IDTX reporting marks?) 4309, 4307, 4306, and 4305.

I caught 365 and 367 deadheading on Amtrak #6(04) yesterday. The train was running just under an hour late out of Ottumwa, Iowa.

It was a three-engine-day for the Zephyr across Iowa today. Amtrak #6(23) ran over two hours late across the state this morning with a Union Pacific locomotive leading the way. I couldn't tell if there was a problem with either Amtrak engine, but I'm guessing one wasn't running well. Also...

Monday evening, I caught Amtrak #5(26) heading west with the two cars from Patrick Henry Creative Promotions on the back. This pair is currently making a tour of the western U.S.

I caught 363 and 364 on the Zephyr this morning. #6 was running about an hour and twenty minutes late out of Ottumwa, Iowa.

I caught #6(17) with 355 and 360 running just over an hour late east of Ottumwa this morning.
