Thursday's westbound California Zephyr out of Chicago has the private varnish Hollywood Beach bringing up the end. This car is essentially a dome-less dome car with big windows that happen light up well at night.

I got some shots of my own of #6(03) with AMTK 353 and 352 as the train stopped in Ottumwa, Iowa this afternoon. A bit different this time with the baggage car moved to the back of the train.

I caught the substitute Amtrak #6(28) made by #5(29) turning at Lincoln as the train was running twenty minutes late eastbound out of Ottumwa, Iowa. Looks like they didn't get to use a wye in Lincoln and just ran the engines to the other end of the train.

The California Zephyr is still only using Genesis engines.

I caught UP 7453 leading Amtrak #6(22) running east of Ottumwa, Iowa about four hours late today. The train was also missing a baggage car.

I caught Amtrak #6(21) running over four hours late out of Ottumwa, Iowa today with Union Pacific locomotive UP 9049 leading. AMTK 144 was the only other engine. Apparently this Zephyr started its journey with this freight engine. And it isn't the only one. #6(22) has UP 7453 leading...

For the first time, the cars for the Winter Park Express won't be dropped off in Denver by Amtrak #5. Instead, Amtrak #6(07) has the task. Cody Solis filmed this California Zephyr stopping at the station in Martinez, California. This train was also filmed speeding through Dixon by NC_YT 123.

I caught Amtrak #6(05) with 351 and 350 running two hours and twenty minutes late out of Ottumwa, Iowa today. The train was running about one hour and seventeen minutes late, but it stopped for about an hour just east of Osceola.

Amtrak #6(05) left California yesterday with new ALC-42s AMTK 350 and 351. This Zephry was caught at Davis, California by Adam Ghimenti. Marcel Hall also caught it at Sparks, Nevada.

Those two were sent to pick up the two newest Chargers from the Siemens factory at Sacramento.
