The new bank partner will NOT automatically issue the Amtrak card. If a customer wants one, they must apply for it. We will get an announcement in the US Mail. (Remember them?) There will also be an email announcement from AGR (or they will provide their email list to the new bank).

Anyone having the current card should be aware that the card itself will still be active, but no AGR points will be awarded after 9/30. BOA may send you a new card with the same number but without the Amtrak logo.

Did anyone else get a text from Amtrak stating that the Sunset Limited would not be stopping at Palm Springs due to sand piles? I didn't plan to detrain there, but my train isn't until next Wednesday from Austin, so...how do they know that far ahead that there still will be a problem? Psychic...

We did it the reverse direction a few years ago (from the airport to International Chinatown and walked to King Street Station, no.problems. It's not far.

I have tickets on the bus for a border crossing in February 2023. Amtrak is not giving us any cause for hope.

The email should have had a PDF attachment which you should print out. They call it an e-ticket. If you have the Amtrak app on your phone they can scan that as well. The ticket desk can print out tickets on cardstock, but if you have the e-ticket or app it should show room and car numbers.

I may the only one in this group to have had a problem. We checked two bags in Washington DC, bound for Austin TX. Bags didn't come off the baggage car. We figured they missed the connection. Next day, still no bags. Filed a lost bag report. Finally got a call two weeks later from Chicago...

My wife and I already know some of our travel dates for 2023. I know that Amtrak opens reservations 11 months in advance. My question is: does the 11 months go day by day, or is everything for a particular month available on the first of the month?
