The next crew base north is Charlotte. So, southbound, the Charlotte crew get off, the Meridian crew, who have layed over from the previous night, get on board. Northbound, the Meridian crew detrain to layover and the Charlotte crew, who have layed over, get on.

Atlanta is still a crew base, as is Meridian.

Meridian is a crew base just like Atlanta.

And some stations do not have places to eat nearby. Look at Charleston SC and Savannah GA for instance.

You're just dreaming about all that additional service. The State of Georgia has no interest in additional passenger rail service and has no interest in chipping in or subsidizing it, unlike NC and VA.
