Superliner trains' removal and restoration of cars (2022-2023)

Clever example. ;). This is my go-to demonstration:

Superliner trains' removal and restoration of cars (2022-2023)

Even if there were the budget for it, buying a new car would almost certainly be cheaper than the design work and limited production run for a handful of cars. As someone that professionally supports a class of three oddball ships, there's a reason we're getting rid of as much of the bespoke...

Taking 90 Palmetto from Philadelphia to New York?

You still don't get it. The fact that one person didn't get off of the one train that you were on does not mean that it isn't something to worry about. It is absolutely your problem. You bought a ticket for a train. You are welcome to ride that train or buy another ticket for a different...

Superliner trains' removal and restoration of cars (2022-2023)

For the same reason you see very few 60 year old cars on the road?

Taking 90 Palmetto from Philadelphia to New York?

Yeah, don't count on that. If you want to try it in the future, that's on you. It's been clearly explained what the policy is, and it would be completely unsurprising to run across a conductor that rigorously enforces that policy.

AGR Credit Card change (October 2022)

Objection, assumes facts not in evidence. We have no idea why the relationship dissolved, blindly making assumptions and then drawing conclusions from those assumptions is profoundly unhelpful.

AGR Credit Card change (October 2022)

That is the deal here. You seem to be unaware that the account is being transferred from BoA to FNBO and that once the account is transferred you will no longer have an account with BoA. It's been explained in sufficient detail that even as a non-cardholder it's abundantly clear to me...

AGR Credit Card change (October 2022)

The first part makes sense, the payment of the annual fee would transfer with the account. The second part os pants on head ridiculous. Once they're your Amtrak points in your Amtrak account, they're yours. Only exception is that if you have no qualifying activity and having the card is...

Last call for the BNSF Glorieta & NMRX Semaphores

I cannot begin to account for the number of hours that guy has sucked away of my life (in the best possible way).

    SWC or CZ?

It may be worth mentioning that these two trains go to very different cities in California, so if you've made follow on plans for LA, you're going to have to change them if you take the CZ to SF.

Penalty for changing companion passenger on Sleeper reservation?

Amtrak isn't an airline. Call and ask, and I'll bet they just swap the name for you.

Consequences of not obeying Amtrak employees

Indeed. The aftermath of trespasser incidents, while gruesome is a known and recognized part of the job. I can see dealing with... whatever that was... being described in a superlative manner due to the unusual and unexpected nature of it.

Amtrak service snarled from SEPTA derailment

They likely did. Google amp is a cancer.

Consequences of not obeying Amtrak employees

That doesn’t happen in the real world on trains, either. Nice strawman.

    CPAP in a superliner roomette

So if I mount my CPAP on wheels, I can book the H room? 🤣😂🤣

Consequences of not obeying Amtrak employees

I think the phrase is "fool around and find out" - if you're behaving in a way that you legitimately wonder "can this guy throw me off the train?", you're probably already wrong. Challenging someone because you don't think they're displaying the right attitude is a fool's game. You never know...

    What should Amtrak change?

I understand that, I was hoping you would quantify how much of a difference it actually makes.

    What should Amtrak change?

Does this actually make a difference in the real world?

    WiFi on longer routes

This is inaccurate, all new iPhones will have this capability.

CS to CZ transfer 30 minute window dilemma

The two hours doesn't matter in Sacramento because your SAC-origin ticket is on a different reservation. All of the intermediate stops that you would be changing trains at are in the 2 hour window.
