When traditional dining returns on 6/26 on 97/98; will coach passengers be allowed in the dining car?

Oh 💯💯 spot on brother. Especially where this would work (in my humble opinion) is for single level LD trains ( Atlantic Coast Service, Crescent, LSL, Cardinal). As long multilevels the seat pitch mirrors the Superliner coaches with plenty of room when the seat is reclined and the leg rest in use.

On the topic of seat assignments, in the future traveling on Amtrak's Sunset Limited between NOL to LAX. If traveling in coach class, (party of 2-- my brother and I) is seating first come first served or will the TA or conductor assign coach seats?

True!!!!!! My brother and I are on that consist right now as we speak. Currently we are again stopped right now between SBG and WPB. Train is having brake issues. In Okeechobee. One of the engines we left in FLO for the Auto Train to pick up and take back up north.

I have to remember to bring a tablet, or chromebook with me. My brother and I are in coach class aboard # 97 and have received a painful reminder on why an electronic device is necessary.

My brother and I were planning on traveling out on AMTK # 97 on September 17th also from NYP - MIA My brother showed me only AMTK #91 is operating. Back to the drawing board for us drawing for us too. When 97 and 98 begins operating, I''m wondering will 91, 92, 97, 98 will have the same...

Amtrak needs to order viewliner ll coach cars and viewliner ll lounge cars / business class to give passengers the option for business class on all long distance trains east of the Mississippi... Mewer amenities just might be more attractive and mae it more popular.

Don't mean to switch gears here..... Last week my brother and I took a trip on AMTK # 97 and # 98 from NYP to MIA. Noticed on these consists (along with 19/20 ; 51/50 and 49/48) that they running with only 2 amfleet ll coach cars. Anyone hear why? Where are the rest of the coaches being stored...
