Well it finally happened! The points posted to my account today. This after two calls to AGR following the eight week waiting period after the initial stay. Apparently AGR, after contacting LaQuinta, was instrumental in solving this issue.

I have not purchased points this year and if I wanted could purchase 15k points. It would cost me $565.50 for the maximum points and in my case get the 4.5k bonus points. I would probably bite if the 40% bonus was offered. Based on the feedback so far this is indeed targeted.

No, not my intentions to use another reward card but that is good to know. I am not a fan of paying an annual fee to use a credit card hence my question.

I have earned approx 63k total points in eleven months which included the signup bonus which I cannot recall the amount. The bonus categories were minimal amounts. Dining was around 650 points and and travel around 1k in points.

I am approaching the one year anniversary of having the Chase Sapphire credit card. Once the anniversary period is reached there will be a $95 yearly fee imposed. I would appreciate any feedback on whether it is a sound invest to continue using this card. Thanks in advance.

I am still awaiting to receive 750 AGR points from a stay at La Qunita Inns about six weeks ago. The fine print states points will post 6-8 weeks following the stay. Anyone have problems with points not posting after the allotted wait?

Thanks for the well wishes Penny but we immediately drove home to South Georgia. Normally on Amtrak trips to return home we would get off in Jacksonville (JAX). We did not have our car this occasion so a rental car was necessary. The arrival times in Orlando are a bit more civilized than JAX...

The rental process was a breeze. We actually had the car keys before our baggage was ready. The Hertz rep mentioned we were the only renters for train 91 and 97 for the day. Easy access to I-4 also.
