Ryan One think to look at is the glass.. both NIkon and canon have good glass. Just be aware that Nikon has more wide glass then canon. on the topic of glass most of the low end SLRs from nikon cant" drive" Old non digital glass.. you will have to man focus and man stop the lens...

ill second that too GG. any nikon cannon or Olympus is gonna do OK . often the user interface is where you will have to choose .

IMO go down stairs . IF its open . I cant sleep on my back . So Ill often force sleep by being up til 2AM and just doing a few H of non REM . till the food is open in the AM . If the down stirs is closed then Ill shove my self in a corner of the booth .
