My better half is 5’4”. We just rode three LD trains, overnight on each. She reports no problems with the footrest location. She was good with the leg support. & footrest combo.

Barring another derailment there is no air travel in our plans. Just Amtrak and public transit. Appreciate the replies thus far.

Your best bet would be to carry supper on board with you in Birmingham. Atlanta is about a 30 minute stop, but it is close to midnight and there is nothing open and close by. Washington is a longer stop, but I think it’s pretty risky to think you could get in & back out in time to reboard. We...

I don’t think so, we are the one’s getting kicked out. For Georgia, one of the listed cities was Macon - which has no Amtrak service.

Put me down as another “tried & fail”. Hit somewhere else in the state and it kicked me out.

I think it said only coach fare, and several trains including the Acela was not eligible…
