Yup. Don't see anything on the ticket or boarding pass that indicates a guarantee but the ticket say Round Trip.

Plan B is go with the flow and hope for the best. I will be in a Roomette on the Starlight both directions, Roomette on the Zephyr and Bedroom on the Chief, assuming those choices will be available. Making reservations today.

I'm planning a trip from Olympia, Wa. to Sacramento, then to Galesburg, Illinois, then to LAX and home to Olympia. The intent is to avoid any overnight stays. Looking at schedules it appears there should be no problems. Departure Dec. 31 +\-. Comments please.

I've ridden the Starlight a dozen times and only used the Cascades once so to save a few bucks on a Starlight bedroom, the Tacoma-Eugene leg in Business class makes sense and long ride on the Cascades. The Eugene-Emeryville leg will be Starlight bedroom.

I'm planning a trip from Tacoma to Emeryville in December or January. I'm looking at Amtrak Cascades to Eugene and the Starlight to Emeryville. How early should I book to ensure Business class?

Are there bedrooms on the Starlight that can accomodate 3 adults? Would it be cheaper to use the Cascades from Olympia to Eugene and connect with the Starlight to Sacramento?

I'm planning a trip to the East Coast on the EB, Seattle to Chicago nonstop. Looking for suggestions for travel east. LSL or??? Want to see Niagara, NYC, Boston, Maine, maybe Connecticut. What Amtrak routes to take, other routes. Plan is to spend at least one day in Niagara, NYC and Boston.

My trip is planned as a roundtrip on the CS from Olympia to Sacramento, CZ to Galesburg, SWC to LAX and back to Olympia with no overnights. I'm familiar with car numbers on the CS but need feedback on CZ 640 and SWC330.

I am booked on the CZ in car 640, room 20 {initial booking was car 632) from Sacramento to Galesburg on Sept. 23. Is that car an old one?

One last glitch. They took my money and then no confirmation or E ticket. Is it usual for a 5 hour delay between taking the $$$ and confirmation?

Finally stumbled on the payment thing and booked the trip. I've overnighted from Seattle on the Empire Builder many times as well as the Starlight and Sunset Limited. I want to ride these routes while I still can and am interested in the scenery, not the cities. Thanks for the input.

The multicity did the job. Got all the way through the process to review purchase and have been kicked back to "select payment credit card. Can't find that check box. Suggestions???
