What is the longest anyone has been on the train?

By longest I mean time-wise. For me, its was my Texas Eagle trip from Chicago, IL to Ontario, CA (~68 hrs. 30 min. running just a tad late). Having read some of the travelogues, I know that some of you have this beat by a mile. Who's been on the longest, either by fortune or design? Has...

Keeping Track (pun intended) of AGR Points

I track mine in Microsoft Money 2007 as a "Frequent Flyer Program".

    Columbus-Denver loophole

You certainly get more train time and for only a 1 zone price! Funny thing is, the two endpoints are only about 500 miles apart and like an 8 hour drive. . . When I try Columbus to Chicago in sleeper, I get $31 coach fare and $149 roomette. Since you won't get any meals if the train...

    Columbus-Denver loophole

    What is all this?

Agree. Who feels like deciphering a virtually unreadable mess like this: "I was going to BNG via POG, WDL, and STN on the EB. Eventually went to PDX where I got on the CS, which stops in CMO, before moving on to MTZ by way of DUN and KFS."

BREAKING NEWS: Wisconsin Purchises Two Talgo Sets

The trains will be owned by the state of Wisconsin, not Amtrak: "They would replace aging trains on Amtrak’s Hiawatha line between Milwaukee and Chicago, which Wisconsin and Illinois pay for Amtrak to operate, about $7 million last year. Klein said the state’s costs would go down because it...

    Columbus-Denver loophole

Hi, I'm new here and I thought I'd make my introduction with this loophole! Haven't seen this one in the forum before, but it's the longest 1 zone loophole I've found. And it gives those of us who can't easily board at Slidell, LA another option (plus I live ~30 min from CBS :D ) : CBS-DEN...
