    Phase IIIb

Perhaps 62043 was a "test" car for the Phase IIIb scheme. Then again, if that's the case, we should've seen an Amfleet test car too, and so far nothing on that front.

    Phase IIIb

Apologies for bringing up an old topic, but I'm curious if Amtrak is still planning to convert their long distance single level trains to the "Amtrak America" branding with Phase III colors or if that's being scrapped because so far, only 2 regular passenger cars have been repainted into Phase...

    Phase IIIb

It was in front of the normal Cardinal set though, so it definitely came out of Beech Grove.

    Phase IIIb

There was an extra Viewliner on #51 and it looked like 62002, but it was still in Phase IVb and still said "Viewliner 62002" written where it should say Appomattox River. Again, I couldn't tell the number for sure, but it did look to be 62002. And it didn't come back south on #50 that night...

    Phase IIIb

For anyone wondering where 62043 is at, it's on 48(26).

    Phase IIIb

It was on the Cardinal on Thursday and can confirm it's in fresh Phase V. Also, Superliners are still coming out of BG with Phase IVb. However, I wouldn't say Phase III is out of the possibility for the whole fleet yet. It might just be a slow transition. Remember when Phase IV came out in...

Viewliner II - Part 1 - Initial Production and Delivery

Quick rundown, all 70 baggage cars delivered, 1st Bag Dorm, Diner, and Sleeper were sent out, tested, and are back at CAF for modifications; no new diners, sleepers, or bag dorms are in operation yet.

    Phase IIIb

I was only asking because I thought they were waiting until they were repainted into Phase III to get their new name. I guess not for some.

Beech Grove Transfers February 18, 2016

Just posting this for anyone who's curious. This probably won't be a regular thing for me, I just happened to see both Cardinals today (#50 on the MH Tower webcam) since Thursday seems to be the day most Beech Grove traffic gets transferred. So here's what both trains had. Inbound #50 into...

    Phase IIIb

Might be unrelated, but I noticed a Phase IVb Viewliner on the Lake Shore Limited this morning with what looked to be a name plate. Anyone know which car this is? And on that note, does anyone know where 62043 is at because I've been trying to find it and haven't had any luck.

Amtrak 704 new paint and logo?

The thing that strikes me as odd is that 704 has a higher white stripe as opposed to the red stripe that the baggage cars are in, plus it only says Amtrak instead of Amtrak America, but that makes more sense since 704 is in Empire Service and not in long distance. Things are getting pretty...

Viewliner II - Part 1 - Initial Production and Delivery

Looks like those predictions were right. NB #14 had a new baggage car with no heritage baggage yesterday. The SB still had a heritage baggage that day.

Viewliner II - Part 1 - Initial Production and Delivery

Can anyone tell if it still says Amtrak America, or if it's just the wave logo?

Viewliner II - Part 1 - Initial Production and Delivery

What I don't get is why they would just repaint the single level trains. The Superliner trains will have the new baggage cars and they're long distance so it would make sense to restripe them as well. We'll just have to see when the time comes.

    Old Monthly Performance Reports

Here is the one you said you didn't have. http://www.amtrak.com/ccurl/617/747/1108monthly.pdf

    Old Monthly Performance Reports

Well I dug around some more and I was able to find most from 2009 (except for April, June, and September) and the October 2011 issue for some reason had no Chief Mechanical report in it, which is odd. I got everything else from 2011, as well as 2010, but I'm still looking for anything from 2008...

    Old Monthly Performance Reports

Hey guys, I just recently discovered the "Monthly Performance Reports" for Amtrak, and I love looking through these, specifically the Chief Mechanical Report where car and engine overhauls are stated. I've been working on "Paint Rosters," where I give a timeline of what paint schemes cars have...

    Remaining Phase IV Superliners

I did find a video of 38053, and unfortunately, the Phase IV Superliner is now over. 39043 has been repainted. Now the only way to see a Phase IV Superliner is by going to Beech Grove and seeing damaged ones, but seeing them on the mainline is no more.

    Remaining Phase IV Superliners

Yep, thanks for showing my picture. And of course I checked rrpicturearchives and googled it, but nothing came up. The only option now is to search videos on Youtube to see if it shows up there.
