    Amtrak reroutes

Pontiac just seems like a weird place to end a train. It would be like ending the Silver Star at Bridgeport.

    What would you add?

Could the pass be renovated to add more capacity?

Boston Considers Downeaster Link To South Station, East Coast Corridor

This would be a cheaper alternative. It would also give Worcester a direct train to NYC.

    What would you add?

The San Joaquin trains should be extended to LA to give more than 1 daily train between LA and the bay area.

    1971-1979 Amtrak ridership

National Limited also served Dayton. Floridan helps a lot more than Sunset East, a slightly changed route would gain more service to Atlanta as well.

    Amtrak reroutes

The one bad thing about reroute all trains via Detroit is losing service to downtown South Bend.

    What would you add?

The coast of these two states is unserved by Amtrak. There should be a train down to Salisbury via Dover. MODERATOR NOTE: This thread (Coastal Delaware and Maryland) was merged with the existing topic regarding "adding trains."

    How to boost Cardinal Ridership?

I would separate the two trains.

    How to boost Cardinal Ridership?

It should be made daily and have a St Louis branch. I would keep it on it's current schedule but extend to Hoosier state to Cincinnati to give it daytime service.

    Daytime Salt Lake City train

I'm confused about why everyone is obsessed about daytime Ohio trains but no one cares that Salt Lake City is in the graveyard shift. If another Chicago-Denver train is established, it could overnight through the mountains and reach Salt Lake City during the day.
