Better idea, restore the Lone Star AND keep the Heartland Flyer, extend it to Tulsa. and make it multi daily!

Atlanta: I'd extended the Carolinian down there, it is also on my proposed Floridan route. Houston could be on an extension of the Heartland Flyer.

Extended the Downeaster to Augusta and Bangor, and eventually to Atlantic Canada.

Texas Eagle through Waco is a no brainer.

Via New York's southern teir looks like the shortest route.

This would be for a Pioneer restoration, not rerouting the CZ.

You could go through Cheyenne without a backup move if you bypass Denver.

Going through Wyoming is quicker however.

Yuba City CA for some reason does not have a stop.

What are some cities which are on an Amtrak route and warrant a stop, but they don't have one? Emporia Kansas comes to mind.
