Trip report - NPN to ROC

The cars you rode on are called Amfleet that were built between 1973 and 1975. They are American made cars by Budd. For their age they ride well. SWC delays

One reason for the Chief to be late are the slow speed track out in Western Kansas and Eastern Colorado. The other reason is that the P42's have been being craping out on Raton Pass. Amtrak has to wait for BNSF to find a spare locomotive to pull the train.

    Double-track traffic direction

These are called power moves. A lot of times you get more trains running one way then the other. Sometimes it is done as a eight unit consit with no train being pulled and sometimes it is just a few locomotives behind the working units.

The president at the time, the great late John Reed, thought the insurance was too much. In 1967 due to pulling of first class mail, half of ATSF...

    Superliner Roomette- upper or lower?

My trips I have rode the upper level. The few times I rode the lower was ok, but I much prefer the upper. The only good things about the lower is closer to the doors, luggage area and the shower. On the upper level there is only one restroom with the other four on the lower. Number five and six...
