    Partial Cardinal Trip

"Upon further review, the call on the field is overturned" It leaves New York on Su, We and Fr, and Chicago on Tu, Th and Sa, but because it runs overnight it goes through Charleston, WV on Su, We and Fr....... this is too hard!!!! :P Perhaps, we'll just go to the station with...

    Partial Cardinal Trip

Thanks for the info. It would likely be in the summer. I grew up in the mountains, so understand "losing daylight" early. Summer would add a couple of hours of light. The Charleston station appears to be downtown and not too far from hotels. Might add a day to just look around. My...

Took our first train trip yesterday - It was great!! Took the Palmetto from CHS to FAY, walked around, had some lunch and rode home. Started planning our next trip before we were even home....I think we are hooked  My question. If we take a longer trip and have a roomette or...

Newbie - How "full" is the Palmetto?

I am sure it will work and be fun (an adventure). There should be plenty of seats when we get on - after originating in Savannah, it only stops in Yemassee. Everybody in Yemassee could get on and not fill the train :) As long as we can get groups of two, or across the isles - we should be...
