Have a 8 hour layover if on time.want to go out while changing to the Starlight and not have to drag bags

I have an upcoming trip next month boarding at a station in Colorado at a unstaffed station with no baggage service. Would like to check bags in Denver as I have a long layover in Sacramento. Is it possible to check bags at a station where you are not boarding at, but the train will be stopping at?

No Wi-Fi is available on the train or any station. There will be section of the route where there is no phone service. Roomette are furnished with two bottles of water to start out and more are free for the asking of the sleeper car attendant. If train is late station will be keep open.

When I did that connection back in July the agent stored our bags for free due to coming on in a sleeper.

Enters the transcon at Galesburg. Stays on it until west of KC. Does a short run though Emporia KS. Reenters it south of Albuquerque and stays on it all the way to LA.

What train are you riding? Most trains depart from the south side. Only the Empire Builder and the trains to Milwaukee leave from the north side. Around 30 minutes the track numbers are announced and posted on big signs near the entrance to the platform.

You could have several though the trip. most Passengers do not travel the entire trip.

Stayed there a few times. Great place that had a big room for bag storage with attendants to leave your bags with them. The only bad part was there were only two outlets to charge devises.
