Couldn't they just use midwest fleet cars that have been displaced by the Ventures?

TriMet WES Commuter Rail Fleet Discussions

Here, you can discuss fleet details, updates, and news related to the WES Commuter rail line. I'll start by saying that Colorado Railcar cab car 2001 has been repainted into TriMet's phase 4 paint scheme. This article screenshot details why this repaint is happening.

    Amtrak Cascades Service discussion

What about more Portland-Eugene runs. Since the Talgos are ODOT trains, they could keep them on Cascades trains that only serve Oregon, leaving Venture sets to serve all other cascade services.

Good thing you managed to screenshot those Cascades trains since the original video got deleted and re uploaded to remove all scenes with them in it.

Connecticut DOT new car order for Alstom

It's interesting how they are using a flat cab car design in an era where streamlined cab cars are becoming more common.

Siemens Caltrans/IDOT Venture design, engineering, testing and delivery (2024)

Why do they have to wait for a host railroad to approve a test? Why can't they just run their trains whenever they want.

They must have changed the testing date cause i can't find any videos or photos of cab car test trains.

Siemens Caltrans/IDOT Venture design, engineering, testing and delivery (2024)

I just wish they had used a better paint scheme on the cab cars. I mean seriously, a blue cab with no kind of transition and doesn't even attach to the blue window stripe. And the way the yellow stripe attaches to the cab's blue is not very good either. People completely unaffiliated with...

Future Amtrak Equipment and ADA ideas

Too bad past FRA compliant DMUs from Colorado Railcar and Nippon Sharyo are no longer being made. Then Amtrak could just get those for the Springfield line trains. A 2 car DMU train would be better than a train of 2 unpowered cars plus a separate engine to pull them.

Future Amtrak Equipment and ADA ideas

If there was a DMU version of the Venture cab car design, they could be used on the Hartford Line and Valley Flyer trains so the 2 car trains used on those lines wouldn't need to use a seperate engine to pull only 2 cars.

2nd video was good. The first one had needless talking which i don't like in these types of videos. I also found a 3rd video.

I was thinking if there was a DMU variant of the Venture cab car, they could use that on those trains.
