Keep in mind if the fare drops below what you paid at any time you can call and get a refund for the difference. That goes for fares paid using money or points. This practice has saved me thousands over the years.

Thanks for the reply. I'm just trying to get the points I initially paid put back into my account because when I rebooked I still had to pay for the new reservation (using points as well). Hopefully that makes sense. I think when I have a chance later in the week I will call the USA RAIL...
