Just curious, does anyone have a list of the cars that were involved? I got some of them, but not all of them.

OK, I think I have tracked down all the cars that derailed, perhaps except the baggage car which I am not sure derailed or not. I scanned the entire list of HEP baggage cars and did not find any mentioning a derailment on that date.

Here is my list of derailed cars:

39925 Hi Level Coach Dorm capsized scrapped
32004 Superliner I Sleeper capsized after falling off the bridge scrapped
32061 Superliner I Sleeper capsized fell off the bridge scrapped
38026 Superliner I Diner perpendicular to the track sloped into the gully TIGER restored
33030 Superliner I SSL derailed upright and was presumably put back in service soon after
34077 Superliner I Coach derailed upright was likely fixed and put back in service soon after

I don't think the rest derailed, which included at least one Hi-Level Coach from the looks of it. The rest were Superliners possibly Coaches or even a few deadhead somethings. The whole consist 12 cars including the Bag but excluding the locos.

If you have found, or do find more info, please post here.

Sabotage?
Yes.

It happened in Hyder AZ at the Palo Verde trestle. There is an FBI file on it. The perpetrators are yet to be determined and apprehended.

That has nothing to do with the 1995 one. Different year, different incidents. In case you have not noticed. I posted the consist information on both threads.

The 1993 incidents that you refer to was at Big Bayou Canot in Alabama.

I believe that diner might never have been restored. If I remember what it's new owner said it was the last Phase III Superliner and last time I saw it it was in Beech Grove under private ownership.
