Pardon me, sir, is that the Amtrak Cascades Talgo?

Yes, yes, door number three,

Green and white stripes you'll see.

Can you afford to board the Amtrak Cascades Talgo?

It isn't hard,

I add it to my charge card.

You leave Seattle King Street Station 'bout a quarter to eight,

Actually, it's earlier unless it runs late.

Snackin' in the bistro,

Nothing is more neato,

Than to have some pastries, quiche, milk, juice and Fritos*.

When you go below the Narrows Bridge on the right,

Maybe see the mountains, they can be quite a sight.

Watch the Sound at flood tide,

Let's avoid the mudslide.

Woo woo Central-i-a, there you are!

There isn't much to do on Sunday in Centralia.

'Cept take a peek,

At the junky antiques.

But who really cares,

'Cause I was in it for the points, you know...

So Amtrak Cascades Talgo, won't you choo-choo me home?

Amtrak Cascades Talgo, won't you choo-choo me home?

*Ugh! I know that the Cascades doesn't carry Fritos. What's worse, they don't rhyme with bistro anyway. :)

I was thinking Centralia, PA, which is even more strange:

Yes, I was thinking of that too. When you are in town there are sidewalks but no buildings.
I've always wanted to explore Centralia, PA, but I'm terrified of ending up in a sinkhole. That, and the fumes are poisonous (I believe). Even if fumes weren't an issue, I still don't want to fall through the ground into a fiery mine.

Trivia: The video game (and resultant movie) "Silent Hill" were based on Centralia, PA.

I enjoyed your song parody very much. Thanks for brightening a dull morning!
