His home & studio are a 15 minute walk (just under a mile) from the Oak Park station on the Green Line of the L. Or you can take a bus (every half hour) from the station that gets you to about 1/4 mi. from the site.

I wonder if there isn't a 1 day tour that includes most of the FLW properties in Chicago? Looks like there are at Wright Around Chicago | Frank Lloyd Wright Trust

I think your granddaughter might like the Shedd Aquarium in Chicago. You can easily spend the whole day there (and I intend to sometime).
