AGR Award- Bustitution???

Leaving tomorrow for my first AGR Award trip! Notice that the CS#14 has been running very late the last couple of days! If the dreaded bustitution takes place from KFS-Pasco like in the dreaded old days, what happens to the meals provided on the train? (ie Lunch/Dinner, I know you get a box dinner on the #28 from PDX-SPK) Is the meal stop that has been mentioned before @ the pax expense and since its an AGR award (ie NO Fare! :lol: ) is there any return of points since the sleeper and meals were missed for part of the trip?

I did not have that particular bustitution occur, but I did have one occur while I was on an AGR award. We were in WV late at night, so we did not stop for any meals. When I got home, I wrote to Customer Service, and was given a large amount voucher!

I have similarly had an unexpected run-in with a bus during reward travel and received a voucher.

As far as AGR is concerned, if you consume your tickets, the points are gone. As long as you can use it, the voucher, in my opinion, is a better deal.

a couple of years ago i got bustituted form sba to lax on a trip from sea on in a roomette using agr

i called and said that i felt a bus ride didn't qualify for first class accmdomotions

the put all 15,000 points back in to my AGR

more recently, i mentiond there were out of service rest rooms on the SWC in a roomette on AGR

they sent a voucher for $200

Last year, I got bused from Galesburg to Toledo. We did stop at a truck stop for fast food but, out of our own pockets! I called customer service but did not receive squat!!! Maybe I'll write next time!
