Those Airo trainset counts for the Northeast Regionals seem high. I assume they're based on a lot of expansion that's evidently being planned. I do think Mr. Gardner has said that if added capacity is needed on some days, they'll just run additional trains. And I wonder what those "named trains" referred to are, since most of the "named" trains I know of are covered elsewhere.

That includes Virginia and Springfield trains, many of which require two sets to provide a daily round trip. Throw in a 25% shop count. I don’t think it’s setting up a massive expansion. Hopefully some holes will get plugged like between 89 and 79 on weekends and things like that. I’m guessing maybe 17 of those sets will see strict on corridor use on a daily basis, which doesn’t seem much beyond current levels.

The named trains equipped with Airo sets would be the Palmetto, the Carolinian, the Pennsylvanian, the Maple Leaf the Adirondack, the Vermonter etc. I’d presume.

What confuses me is that some named trains are mentioned and some aren't. Separately, I can't figure out why the Pennsylvanian, Carolinian and Palmetto need eight trainsets. It should be six, and maybe a seventh for a spare. I have to conclude that whoever wrote the entire pool distribution list doesn't know much about the trains that run in it.
