Amtrak Christmas Gifts

I received some Amtrak gifts for Christmas. A polo shirt, two pins for the Coast Starlight, and a 40th Anniversary pin for the Keystones!!

I don't think I've ever received an actual Amtrak gift, except for last year I got this nice calendar that a friend made and gave me a copy. I've given several, including a picture I had taken of my sister and I on the Empire Builder at the Minot fresh air stop two years ago. I had two copies printed and I framed them, one for her and of course a copy for myself, which I have hanging in my apartment. I'm a hard one for family to shop for regarding Amtrak related gifts, as I have so much stuff that they wouldn't have a clue what to get me. Yes, they could get me Amtrak gift cards, but for some reason they don't. No complaints or worries there, I know what I want, when I want it.

I got some stuff for steam engines for Christmas - top that! It was coal.

My wife loves me so much, she just thinks of the neatest things! Next year she said she'd get me water and lubricant.

Not Amtrak specific, but I got a copy of Food on the Rails, which I've started thumbing though, and has been pretty interesting so far.

Some anecdotes about "dining" on early Western US trains that makes Amtrak, with all it's faults, seem worthy of a Michelin Star.
