Amtrak Texas Eagle strikes and kills person in Irving

The train was traveling from San Antonio to Chicago when it came into contact with the person just after 4 p.m.

There were no reported injuries to the 109 passengers or crew onboard, according to Amtrak. A spokesperson for Amtrak said they're working with local law enforcement to investigate the incident.

Utterly horrible, my thoughts are with the family, but also with the driver. The news always seem to forget how traumatic it is for drivers, when it isn't even there fault. Some drivers are never able to return and it changes their life for ever. I hope Amtrak have sufficient support in place.
