.....And Another Oil Train Derailment

There’s been another oil train derailment. This one is on CN at Plaster Rock, New Brunswick near Grand Falls and US/Canada border. Train is on fire and contains oil and LPG tankers.

This is CN’s freight route to the Maritimes. VIA’s Ocean uses another line and will not be affected except by any freight that might now be rerouted.

Saw this report last night after the wife found it. Not the first derailment on that particular portion of the line either, according to the article.

Not terribly far (in the grand scheme of things) from where the Lac-Mégantic disaster happened. Probably brings back some very unpleasant memories for that community. Fortunately this one does not seem to be on that scale in terms of death/injuries.
