My very first long-distance trip this spring (!!) is not only to fulfill a bucket list item for me, but also so I can write a book of humorous essays about the trip. I'm a total train newbie and am excited to see what kind of adventures I can have! I love to meet people from all over this country, Canada, Australia, Europe and people many other areas. Most are genuinely interested in talking about themselves and wanting to know whop they are talking with. Doesn't work that way flying, plus you have several people reading over your shoulder. Rail is the only way to travel.
