Been riding the Rails since the 1940s

My first train trip was from Pennsylvania to California for my uncle’s wedding in the late 1940s. Main memories are: Vista Domes - playing in the hallway with a toy car - hitting a real car (I recall walking to the front of the train - there was a dish-sized dent in the engine’s cow catcher & the car was totaled).

My most recent train trips were on the Glacier & Bernini Expresses in Switzerland.

Next week I’m on the Auto Train to Florida (4th time).

Not sure what future trips I’ll be taking?

It was a wonderful trip for a 6-year old boy. California Zepher - diesel powered. We had two connected bedrooms with the wall complex disappeared.
