Buying Pts. as a Gift

My daughter wanted to buy me pts as a gift, but when she tried it came up: Sorry, the number of Points selected will exceed the maximum allowance for the recipient. Please select another amount. Is there something she is doing wrong. I thought you could gift a person 10,000 a year. No one has gifted me any this year so what appears to be the problem? Thanks for your help.

An AGR account can buy OR receive UP TO 10,000 points (not including bonuses) per calendar year! However, you can TRANSFER in excess of that amount - for a fee!

Note also that the "buy or receive" statement is per CALENDAR year! 12/31/11 and 1/1/12 are different CALENDAR years!
