(04-15) 20:48 PDT PALO ALTO -- One person was killed Friday evening when a northbound rush hour Caltrain struck a car around 5 p.m. near the intersection of Charleston Road and Alma Street in Palo Alto.
Caltrain service experienced delays of up to 90 minutes, as trains were stopped temporarily in both directions. Trains began moving again at restricted speeds at 7:46 p.m., though there were still delays, said Tasha Bartholomew, a spokesperson for the San Mateo County Transit District.
