We are leaving 23 Sept for 15 days in a circle trip. I have already gotten the tickets (printed on my computer) and all information is correct on them.

However - there are multiple mistakes on the Amtrak Ap which I just checked over tonight.

The trips are all listed except for the last two which were added August 18.

The total price is incorrect - it was the original price before I added a couple of sleepers, etc.

My phone number is incorrect - it has our land line which has been disconnected. I had changed this in a telephone conversation with the agent that helped me with my sleeper additions.

I tried to edit it, but the info that came up to be edited had our mobile line, which was correct. But the account telephone is still incorrect with the land line.

On the "view details", the return date is listed as 3 days after the trip begins.

I tried to delete the app and then install it again, but the same errors are still there - on the original screen and when I went to the "view details" screen.

What would you do? Just delete the app and go with the tickets and other printed material that I have which are correct? Or try to explain this to an agent and get it corrected on the app before we leave?

Thanks for your comments and suggestions.

I don't believe that deleting the App will help in any way. The App is simply downloading information, it's not storing it on the phone.

I would definitely call and have them verify all of your information. They can email you an E-ticket that you can access from your phone. The iBooks app will store the ticket as a .pdf so you don't have to wait for it to download if the station has spotty (or no) Wi-Fi.

There is a known bug with the mobile app for some complex reservations originally booked online, but later modified by a human agent. Rest assured that your printed eTickets are correct, and any Amtrak phone agent can send you an email confirmation if you want to be sure. Also, the mobile bar code is still good for use on the train.

Have a great trip!

In my experience (and a friend noticed this as well) the app can't display multi-city trips correctly with more than two legs even if their booked on-line. On the first screen you'll see your entire itinerary listed as you first booked it on-line (if you modify the reservation or Amtrak changes the schedule on you it will still display the old times). On the second screen you'll see the first two legs of a multi-city itinerary listed as Departure and Return and the final one or two missing.

The most ridiculous example I have is when I discovered you can add on a PHL-NYP (or closer to NYP) leg free of charge with a less than 24 hour layover in NYP before a trip on the Adirondack. I bought a multi-city ticket MET-EWR-NYP-SDY-PTK this August as an excuse to finally ride AirTrain Newark and for the points.

The App Listed my trip beneath the QR code as:

Departure: MET-EWR

Return: EWR-NYP

Claiming I had spent $63 to take such as short trip. I did print out a Quick-Track confirmation only because I knew the gate agents wouldn't let me onto the platform if they didn't see written proof of my ticket on the Maple Leaf to SDY. I ended up going down to track 8 via the exit concourse avoiding them. The conductors on both the Maple Leaf and then the Adirondack scanned the QR code fine since your entire reservation is still in the system and that code is what matters most.
