Got home from work around 11:30PM. Stayed up all night and left the house around 4:15AM to catch the 5:12Am bus to the royal oak train station. Got there with a hour to spare. Train was on time getting to royal oak. Things were smooth until 30 minutes from Ann Arbor. we ran into the NS speed restriction early due to NS having problems with there signals so we had to go 15 until we got a clear. When we got to around Michigan city Indiana the conductor told us that due to the heavy rains Chicago got NS has issued our train a flash flood warning. We could not exceed 15MPH from Michigan city to CUS. After a while we were told that the flood warning was lifted and we could resume track speed. The train arrived into CUs around 1:30PM.

I then made it over to the OTC and got 2 one way tickets to and from river forest for the METRA train to meet up with what was left of the otol fest people. It was just KK misty and one other person who I forget his name. My train was on time leaving OTC and getting to river forest but KKs train 508 was 17 minutes late getting into river forest. After we got back to OTC the other fest members took a short cut while i went the long way back cause i though they were taking another METRA and i didn´t have tickets or the time as my train leaves at 6pm.I went to the south gate to wait for my train and it was PACKED. I never seen it that packed before. AlanB texted me asking if i wanted to get into the metro lounge so I meet up with piotr who used his member card to get me in as a guest.

At 5:30PM I left the lounge to board with the other coach pax. For a short time 354 was shown as delayed due to all the other trains boarding at the same time that were also delayed. The train left on time though. When we got to Kalamazoo we started to move then stopped. about 10 minutes later the conductor said on the PA we were waiting for dispatch to give us permission to proceed. somewhere between Kalamazoo and battle creek we came to a stop again due to a crossing gate issue and had to wait for permission from dispatch to proceed. Something interesting. When we left battle creek we stop shortly after leaving to swap crews with sister train 355. I slept on and off through out and arrived into ROY around 2:30AM. called a cab and home around 3:30AM.
